I think Sequal for this game would be bad cause it would take too long to develop and could ruin this one and plus not sure they have the rights from the creator to make sequals of this franchise its not owned by them the ip they are leasted for this one game as far as im aware.

But a sequel wouldnt be too difficult given theyve already got a game engine. All they need to do to the engine is enhance graphics quality a bit.

They already stated they have long term plans for cyberpunk 2077 and how they made the game so its future proof that they can easyly upgrade the game to have new hardware and such that they only using 50% of the game engine and design it so it can work on future generation hardware ans take advantage of new tech but right now the engine not utlizing its full potentional.

They also stated they plan to work on this game for next few years after release like 5 or more and also stated they have plans for dlcs and expansions to expand on the main story.

To me from every thing they said it seems they dont plan to make a sequal but to keep expanding on this current game making it bigger and bigger they also talked about how there already working on another city expansion area size of the current night city and how they want to have more citys you can go to in this game in its future.

There also possiablely the badlands around night city could be used for multi player but there no talk to this but i have a feeling multi player will take place in the badlands.

I'm also perfer this direction i hate when games make sequels its bin done too much the direction there going seems new and fresh to keep a single player game going and keep getting content for a long time until the player base intrest lose intrest basicly.
