4k gaming is already possible though, provided you have a good pc, i have a 2080 and nothing has ever rivaled this card, also some games actually automatically set to 4k because this card is so beefy it assumes im running 4k, im telin you, you wont need a 3000 series card for a while, unless you do video editing and exportingdude theres no games that even make the 2080 cards run hot, i dont know what id even do with a 3000 series card, unless im doing video editing
yes you are probalby a normal 1080p gamer. but i play in 4K and VR and i want the best graphic. so i will buy after my 1080 a 3080 or 3080ti! Trust me i cant play new games in 4k with this 1080 garbage GPU! and the 2000 series are also bad and slow as hell for 4K. Nvidia said a week ago that the 3000 series will finally make 4K gaming possible for the future.
