The part that wouldn't be fair is the existence of multiple versions, some "better" than others. Which I thought was clear enough based on the context.

Preorder bonuses are in the same category because it's the exact same game whether you preorder or not; it should not give anything more than (post-)release purchases.
Imo incentivizing preordering with exclusive stuff is rightfully frowned upon by many, including CDPR themselves. The only exception was the discount in their store only for GOG preorders, but that was essentially a way to promote their merch and gave no free stuff.
