That just proves my point. If you don't use things you don't pay for, then who cares about them?

Don't use paid mods if you don't want to pay for them.

Simple.

You guys are getting upset about things that literally don't affect you one bit.

The only people that anything paid affect are the people that pay for it.

So.... again, don't use them then.

As far as the corruption and exploitation thing... come on. The price of games hasn't gone up in, what? A decade or so? Are you saying that, in the place of paying extra for a mod or paying for DLC or microtransations that you'd rather pay $30 more for the game?

Because, either way they want their money.

Valve also tried to close the Free steam workshop community in the past (they left the idea a few days later because of the massive community backlash)... restricting free mods is never an option, even bethesda couldnt do it

That was my point.

There are free mods and there are sometimes paid mods. Whether you see them on the workshop or not, there are almost always paid mods for most popular games. Usually those tend to be far more thought-out, have better support and generally much more depth.

I get that people are saying that making things paid only causes people to be angry. But, isn't that kind of what a game is? It's paid entertainment. You don't NEED the paid mods. So, again.. I really don't get why people are stressing themselves. I guess that's what I meant when I initially responded.

If they are going to charge for mods, and you don't want to pay for mods, then don't pay for mods.

Maybe that's less harsh and more friendly of a way to put it.
