What I didn't like about W3 was that it felt like I was playing World of Warcraft combined wtih a Far Cry game. Like I'd do a bunch of fetch quests or kill quests, and afterawhile the game felt empty.

In Witcher 1 I felt like Gerald was a real adventurer, kind of like tabletop rpgs. He'd go adventuring and exploring, and sometimes working on actual major quests, then he'd go chill in town with his buddies. He felt alive in a real world.

Witcher 2 felt much more streamlined, but the story was good enough I was riveted.

Witcher 3 just felt too gamey like World of Warcraft. Even having a card game in the taverns based on the Witcher series felt really off.

That is very likely. Cyberpunk 2077 won't have the crappy gameplay that the Witcher has. It's going to be like a more responsive first-person cross between Deus Ex and GTA.

I heard good things about Deus Ex, and Ioved the old GTAs. So let's hope so!
