Everyone plays the game the way they want to, the way that gives them the greatest enjoyment. There is no right or wrong way.

For instance, I am well into my 60's, retired, have terrible reflexes and a bad memory. I not only play games on easy mode, I'll often mod the game to make it easier still, lest I stop playing because it is too difficult for me to advance. I am not typically looking for 'excitement' and such. My body interprets that as stress which is not healthy for me. I play mainly for story and exploration.
