Let's look at the stats.
It's an RPG after all, but everyone seems to be just riding the hype waves, praising graphics, city, models, shooting and ignores the important stuff.
So, i present to you - just some info on the stats and skills, gathered from oficial jorno/influencers only 4 hours of gameplay impressions, so take it with a grain of salt, also they may or may not change it before release.
First of all constitution was dropped, there are only 5 stats left:
Strengh - increases health, stamina and close combat damage.
Reflexes - increase crit chance, accuracy and chances of enemies missing their shots.
Intelligence - improves hacking difficulty and gives more memory for hacking programs.
Tech - increases armor, chances of collecting crafting ingredients and allows hacking/breaking into technical stuff.
Cool - improves stealth, crit damage and resistances to "certain effects".
At least some stats can be used in stat checks, like in Fallout NV for example.
Earn exp from quest and level up to get a stat point, this is not final, apparently not every level grants a stat point and devs still deciding on how often/much you get. Also increasing your level will grant you perk points.
Each stat governs a set of skills wich in turn contain perks. Look at it as a sort of different trees. To increase the skill you must use said skill, skill cannot be increased higher than a governing stat. That means you cannot increase melee skill to level 6 if your strengh is only 5.
Some perks are advanced perks, to unlock them you must spend some perks point in the same tree, you get the idea.
That's pretty much it, here you go.
P.S. i really hope they won't allow us to infinitely gain stat points, that will defeat the whole purpose of roleplay and replaying the game.
