New Game Plus and Life Paths
In witcher 3 if you 100% whole game like me you would've ended up a level 50-55. Without any more quests or exploration and stuff to do you could not level any more to unlock mutations and extra skill slots. So you had to start ng+ in order to progress mutation tree to full.
Seeing how huge game will be and even more filled with different choice and consequence stuff and content in general I doubth I will have to think about this dilema for at least 500-1000 hours. Especially since even if they expended upon skill trees like in witcher it would most likely come with a dlc which would mean even more time to 100% the game and start ng or ng+.

At least the internet says its confirmed.
"Cyberpunk 2077 will have a New Game Plus mode. Stick around. Cyberpunk 2077 won't let you see everything in a single playthrough, with the choices you make killing off other paths you might have taken, and it looks like CD Projekt Red has other plans to get players to stick around for round two"
I wonder if new game plus and online mode is somehow connected. I would play this once at launch, then when online mode comes, then play it second time.

I understand, but skills are capped, and you still have the same set of skills/stats. You can make different decisions yes, but you still be forced to play the same style, so ng+ replay value is less compared to completely new char. If you just want your heavy guns to be 100 instead of 99 thatsOriginally posted by GeraltOfNightCity:Originally posted by IL'dar:Tbh i don't understand why exactly do we need ng+ for Cyberpunk 2077. The game suppose to be replayable, so why do you need to play the same charachter again? Just so you can have some middle game gun from the start? Seems pointless, but ok.
If u read what I wrote ud know.
In case we run out of quests for xp to level skills and stuff further.
Quests would be reset so there is replayability to full.
But if we are locked to same life path then Ill rather start ng instead of ng+.
a fine reason to want ng+, just saying that new stats, new lifepath usually means completely new charachter.

Yeah I know and I expect it to be like that. Thing is, I hope if someone was to complete all or majority of quests he would have enough xp to max or nearly max their skills to extent that is possible as long as it wouldn't make the player OP even on highest difficulty.

Pretty sure they comfirmed it. Altho ur prolly right about it being free dlc. Cuz I sorta remember reading that and witcher 3 also got ng+ as a free update if I'm not mistaken.

What I hope for is multiple character/save slots. I have like 4 different characters in mind that I want to try using.
I'd expect we can have multiple. It'd be dumb not to. Just make another save for another character.
And yes, ng+ has been comfirmed.
I'm just curious if we will be able to change a life path for new game plus.
Altho seeing how much impact lifepaths will have on a whole playthrough that maybe won't be such a logical idea.

Id 100% the game once as bomad and then second time as street kid making different choice.
For my third playthrough as corpo I might not 100% it but like maybe 90% of game and also trying to make different choices as long as I like em. However I play rly slow and explore and do every pixel of a game so it'll prolly take me 500-1000 hours for each playthrough.
Same with dlcs for each playthrough.
Wheb online play comes.
If it's coop and well done I might make a fourth character or play it with one of my three older ones and pick a close online friend to play the game completionist style from beggining to end.
I expect cdpr to do a good job even with online update but with game so complex and huge with so many branching choices, storylines and fluid and/or random progression and free roam I wonder how well they're gonna be able to make it.
I got severe ocd so I'd hate some random joining and messing with stuff in my world but it'd prolly be fun to play 2 player coop through the game if possible.
I'm glad cdpr are smart and know what people want. That is singleplayer. And I couldn't be happier knowing singleplayer has their full dedication and that they'll only strongly focud on multiplayer after all the dlc is done.
As I said I hope when we max our stats and skill and fully upgradr our gear and implants and such that we are near or past endgame and near 70-80% all of game completion.
And vice versa.
As someone who intend to sink thousands of hours into multiple 100% playthroughs I hope that the length of 100% of game abd all of progression like skills and implants is well balanced.

Yes it has. A month ago or so. Multiple news outlets said so. It came along with one other rather big piece of info I just forgot what. But in short, yes.
