To my gamer friends : Do you have any concerns about Cyberpunk 2077 being overhyped? Do you think that CD Projekt Red and this game are being way too ambitious? Do you think that their expectations are set too high?

I have played alot games since Witcher 3 and it feels really empty. 5 years later and the standard they set with the game is still unreached. If they just deliver 90% from witcher 3 to Cyberpunk 2077, we can expect the best game for atleast a few years.

I guess it depends what you're expecting.
The best game of all time? I don't know, but probably not.
The best shooter of all time? I highly doubt it.
The best choice-based game? I don't think so.
Best story ever told? Unlikely.
A difficult game that challenges but rewards you like no other? Nah.
A game with an interesting world and a beautiful setting with a variety of combat and social options that introduces you to exciting characters and intriguing side quests told through your believable main character with loads of playstyle options? I think yes.
A game that has both substance and style? Heck yes.
Given CDPR's quality in Witcher 2 and 3, plus both W3 DLCs... I shouldn't be super hyped, but I expect a solid game and even have a bit of pre-hype for CP77's expansion DLCs.

I think the oppasite every thing they claim they where going to do long before media even was talking about the game i bin following this game progress from the devs.
So far years later what they showed off is what they claimed they where going to do there ambion and aiming high is what developers need to do all of them.
If more companys like bethesda did this instead of making lazy developt games that seem unfinished empty and filled with lame crafting to give illusion there content there witch is just Text and inventory imagery and loot grinds to stall and distrect you from the lack of gameplay games developers bin making lately along with empty worlds that are filled with junk loot and crafting witch feels like some kinda bum similator game witch I simple just cant play these types of games there just not fun to me specialyl cause i hate crafting and looting.
This game looks very rich in content story and player choice a true rpg one that dosnt have a true ending ether that they want to expand on to keep the world feeling alive and even more richer with content for its future Best part its not a crafting looter thank gosh it has real fun content to inthrall you in a rich world and story and not bore u to death.
I Really like the ideas and direction the developers want to go with this game a immersive first person rpg experiance centered around you the player being that character i think its a really cool concept that many games have done poor jobs in delivering in, in such a high quality as these developers are taking it in such a rich story driven and immserive world.
I know many developers also very much looking forward to playing this game as well and my hope is this game does deliver fully on its promises and the future expansions and dlcs are many rich in content and it inspired other game developers to aim for the stars and be way more ambious then the current industry has bin delivering and all these sequals of franchise and games that some or many of us have no intrest in making it a very dead period for games other then this game and vampire the masquerade bloodlines 2.
Any ways this just my thoughts kinda ranted sorry hon and everyone just thought id share both my disappointment in other companys but also my excitment and hope for this game and what it could mean for the industry future. =)

I am not concerned because i never set my expectations too high.
I would even be happy if the game only reaches half of the quality The Witcher 3 has because in that case it would still be better than 90% of what's out there on the market.
But from what we have seen in the gameplay demo and the deep dive video, quality wise, this game can't even fail anymore as long as the rest of the story and world design aren't a disaster.

What's this whole ordeal with Denuvo and why do so many people hate it?
Denuvo is called an "uncrackable copy protection".
And it's known for causing loss of performance.
CDPR is known for their policy of not implementing copy protections. They want the customers to have full control over the game files.
Because with Denuvo for example you are just the owner of a license to use the game. But you aren't really the owner of the game itself.
People aren't upset about CDPR not using it. People love it.

The only problem is that CDPR is keeping the story and quests as vague as possible right now.
Of course. I wouldn't spoil anything either if I was them.

overhype and tagging unreleased games as masterpiece is not the way to go... but i think it will deliver.... the thing with hype train is that people starts idealizing impossible things even, and ... well... choo choo, de-rail.

A form of DRM, a pretty invasive one apparently. Irrelevant here because this game will be DRM free.Originally posted by BlueKatana27:What's this whole ordeal with Denuvo and why do so many people hate it?
