Do you think the choices will be overwhelming?
So what do you think? Do you think this game will be ruined by using a guide?

Well my statement was at least partially in jest. But in all seriousness, what's the point of making the choice in the first place if you already know what happens? To make the story go in the direction you want it to? Wouldn't be much of a story if it did. Obviously this doesn't apply to NG+ but he didn't specify either way.Originally posted by UltiDK:No, it isn't. Just let him play the game the way he wants to. Since it's a single-player game, it won't affect others.Originally posted by Wayward Son:That's disgusting.

I doubt it. It's still an RPG. Even if there are a lot of branches, the main story thread will be fairly linear (I'm guessing). I find it unlikely that the devs would want you to be able to permanently ♥♥♥♥ over your character. Personally, I'd avoid looking at guides before at least finishing the game one way or another. Even if you make a mistake, I'm fairly sure it won't "ruin" that run, unless you want a specific outcome/ending.

It will be very overwhelming just by lifepath each path has their own unique interaction toward npcs/event not to mention the ways you can play the game netrunner, solo and others
Will the game be runined by using a guide? Yes? I guess?

I don't think there is a "wrong choice" so to speak of. Sure all choices add some benefit & they may also likely have consequences. Go with what you like & what comes of it well /shrugs.

Or, get this, just play the game and enjoy it and live with your actions because it makes your first playthrough that more memorable. If you just follow the guide then you're missing out on other great paths/content.

I'm actually hoping that it is overwhelming, this way I can play whatever path I want, then restart the game some time after beating it, and do it all again, and have a completely different experience.
Paths and choices are important, my dude. Don't use a guide, go in blind, make the choices that feel right in your gut, and live with them. That's why we live for RPGs. That's the fun of being immersed into another world where my choices matter.

What's a "wrong" choice? If you're not sure in the outcome how can you even mess up? Don't remember Predator 2? Bad things happen, that's what he said.Originally posted by West:It seems like there are so many choices in the game and I always am worried about messing up or making the wrong choice.
The first major choice in Witcher i made was the "wrong" one, it bit me in the backside a couple of hours after i made it. I really should't have let them take the cargo. But hey that's life.
I do not recommend using a guide.

TBH I thought they would give us "Game Over" choices but it looks more like severe consequences such as important NPCs dying or irreversible penalties instead, if it's the latter i prefer not using a guide but if there's "Game Over" choices I would be tempted to look at guides.

Absolutely will be, is my guess.
A big part of CDPR's RPGs is choice and consequence, and the surprise element that comes with it.
Of course, if you don't like the surprise element (I know many don't) then it won't matter in that regard.
Using a guide may also result in you going for the optimal/preferable outcomes rather than choosing "naturally". Which is something some enjoy, so it's up to you.
