CD Project Red is allowed to make political statements.
But any of use try to make political statements we get shut down.
Spoken like a real corpo.
Your profile pic is most fitting.
Maybe CD Project Red aren't the good guys many of us thought, huh?
Steams own forum rules include not talking about things that are prone to huge arguments like Politics or Religion.
If you go onto the main Steam discussions page in the Off Topic section you can even see locked threads about the riots going on in the US.

No problem. Also in the main post, probably where I should have placed it from the get go.

Yep, they are. And CDPR doubles down on this policy.
Again, if people do want to talk about it, we do have a thread reserved on the CDPR forums. There are a lot more moderators there than here and CDPR keeps a close eye on their main forums.

If you, or anyone else, would -like- to talk about it, the CDPR main forums are open for discussion on this subject. We have a thread set aside, with an exemption to the usual no politics rule.

CDPR makes statements often - and games with content in them that are also not allowed to be shared here.
HERE, though, there is a no politics rule. No religion. Be friendly and polite. That last is very important and politics/religion tend to invalidate it in record time.
You are free to discuss it elsewhere - on Twitter, for example, where CDPR did.
Not here though. Here is about Cyberpunk 2077. This is not the place for your political statement, no.

Real World politics don't belong here. Cyberpunk has plenty of politics.

So there is lots of politics in Cyberpunk and the setting therein. If you want to discuss the ramifications of the EEC dropping a rock on Colorado Springs or what it means that the Highriders rebelled in 2023, great. Go ahead.

You're low key suggesting CDPR should not have made their statement. Just don't say anything because it's against the rules. No need for little digs. We're not stupid.

Locked and pinned because it became all too clear many people had no intention of following the rules.
Let me add one last clarification: if you want to discuss CDPR's statement regarding Night City Wire's postponing, either go to that forum thread linked in the OP (and make sure to act in a civil manner) or find a platform that does allow real-world politics.
