Once you've accepted the game, it can't be returned unless the receiver wants to let the person do it. Not that my friend would do that, you guys must have ♥♥♥♥ friends lol.
I guess if the game went on sale after someone gifted it to you, maybe you would want to let them return it so they could re-gift it to you at the discounted price. Still, has to be done within 14 days (and no more than 2 hours played if that applies).
Note: To request a refund on a Steam Gift, we will need the gift recipient to first initiate the refund and approve the removal of this purchase from their account.

If you give someone a gift, digital or not, it belongs to them the moment you transfer it. There are zero laws in any land that backs up refunding a gift you gave someone. Period. It's stupid to think otherwise.

Nintendo does offer refunds on their eshop FOR ANYBODY!

I mean on steam. It was Australia taking steam to court for breaching our refund laws that made them offer refunds for all.... and preordered it for me.

That's awesome to hear. If cdpr manage to pull of a good multiplayer mode (im hoping coop only) after all the DLC is out you two can do some night city adventures together.
