If you get overhyped for anything chances are you're going to be thoroughly disappointed and there is no one to blame but yourself it that case. If you also go in the game expecting certain things that were never mentioned as being in the game then that is also your fault, you should only ever expect what is on the store page or confirmed by the developers to be in game.
To be honest most of the time when people are disappointed with a game it seems to be because they expected something way more or way different than what they got, that isn't the developers fault unless they lead people on into expecting certain things at release.
If you keep your hype in check and keep your expectations low you'll likely find most games you buy are better than expected. Also if you're someone who gets easily frustrated by the simplest of bugs you should never buy a game at release, especially if you're playing it on the PC.

the time we live in, is far from perfect...and so the games are....
Remember gothic 1, 2+notr or Fallout New Vegas ?
it was perfect past then and they are still two of my most played games even though the grafics are kind of outdated.(but not ugly)
why ? because it had some kind of "soul" . developers had a vision and put all efforts into a HANDMADE real RPG.
No random generated worlds, no random loot.
When you have explored every corner of the world you have been rewarded with unique items instead of a random loot table.
will it be like this in cyberpunk? Probably not.
let´s hope it will be "okay" for our current mentality.
if you expect more ... then you probably will be disappointed.

Really? I have the exact opposite, a really good feeling that the game has been done well. CDPR just has amazing writers and from what I've seen so far I have no doubts that it will blow my mind. The story may not be as well done as TW3 was, but it should be much much more immersive experience.

Originally posted by Arthur Shelby:fps view instead of 3rd person view can ruin alone such game. deep customization only to see a gun? let alone badly done FOV and motion sick.
RPG with shooter elements not the other way around..
in a perfect world a button to swap between 1st and 3rd person view would be great to please everyone.
We're not having this argument for the millionth time. It's not TPP, it's not Iso, it's not Turn Based. CDPR made their call years ago and it's not changing.

There will be some mixed reviews, yes. No flavour is for everyone and although CDPR are very good at what they do, they would never claim perfection.
Reviews in the end don't matter a jot compared to your play experience. They are good for deciding to buy the game, but if you are here, you've probably made that decision already.
The rest is a silly, "My game is better than your game!" contest. Worthless, really.

My issue with Death Stranding was that it was basically a game of excess. It was full of countless mechanics that didn't add anything to the gameplay and were simply shoved into the game because they could be. When making a game and looking at adding various mechanics, you need to look at what adds to the gameplay or makes it deeper and interesting, and what is just pointless fluff and busywork that takes away from the gameplay.
That and the fact that the balance and pacing of the game was way out of control didn't help either.
I think the game had promise, but someone needed to tell the director that not every idea he has is gold.

I honestly was not hyped at all for this game until a month ago. I played Observer and then realized how much I love cyberpunk. I am sure that the game will end up in the likes of Witcher 3 which I loved and Im excited to see what CDPR has to bring to the table once release roles around. I wont buy it when it comes out but I will surely buy it on its first time on sale. Dont keep your hopes high but dont keep them low.
