I think they sold more. Pre order started 337 days ago, for 1 million they have to sell 3000 copies per day, is it enough to stay in top sellers?

They sold 28 million copies of witcher 3. My best guess would be around 10 million copies in the first 10 days. That's not unrealistic.

I've been gaming for a good while and I don't think I've seen this much hype for any game besides Halo 2 that said if this game is at least close to how good the witcher III was I have no worries.

It's enough, pretty sure I saw some data about sales in the top sellers on steam, which said that there were only several thousand/day sold of those that are lower on the list.

Of course it is. CDPR, the developers of the game, have a massive reputation as great developers after the success of the Witcher 3.

People are expecting this game to top TW3. The hype is off the charts.
