There appears to be some sort of conflict with these two quests. First of all they both take place in the same warehouse location. Second, if you do the gig "For my son" first, you will end up fighting with the person you're supposed to talk to for the Beat on the Brat quest. Doing so, will complete the Beat on the Brat quest, but i didnt notice getting any reward for it.
