Was expecting a bit more and this Braindance feature looks a bit of a mediocre mechanic that has been done before.

Well theres Keanu Reeves too and Matrix 4 coming too.
As for Braindance, it looks fun new kind of gameplay, you can re-live your robberies?

Kind of like The Witcher? Has an anime coming, has a Netflix series, didn't they have delays? Pretty sure they did. And look what we got, an amazing game.

I'm trying to get a feel of the graphics but everything seems very compressed. I suppose it looks OK.
As far as the game goes it looks like a lot of fun. Very different to the Witcher series.
Not a huge fan of the art direction, too colourful.
The action sequences look incredible. I wonder if they backtracked on being able to complete the game without any killings. One of the missions seemed like you had to kill the people chasing you in the car. I don't mind either way.
I think they chose the worst place for the minimap. Now my eyes will constantly be look at the top of the screen. I would prefer a compass.

Well, no game is perfectly flawless. The ideas they have are good and they cook up indepth stories. But obviously yes it is very strongly hyped. So were many other games in the past, though. You know what to expect there. I could name on the top off my head about 3 pet peeves I have with CD Projekt Red's games, but you still gotta give them credit for what they do. Their business model is fair. They handle GOG really well. And they deliver well-optimized quality.Originally posted by Jensen2027:Of course this is overhyped. If I had to pick a pet peeve.
Their way of dialogue delivery. Not using prepositions where expected. Talk like this. Got to be cool. Got to knock of unnecessary words every sentence. Straight to the point. Know what I'm saying. This is Wild West. Be talking like this 'round here. In both, Witcher and Cyberpunk. 'S the way to do it. Short to the point. 'S how people talk. Feels not very natural. Sure of it. Feel my gruffiness through this paragraph? Got to be smooth. Gotta keep moving. Gotta go fast.
Anyway, regarding the gameplay in this trailer - I think this mechanic could be interesting on paper, but I feel it will be very context specific and thus only ever come into question when advancing the plot - Thus not really be relevant in a grand scheme of things and fall flat. Kind of like on rails sections or investigation phases in other games. It's nice that they bothered with the world building that much, though. That's important to make the world feel alive. In many other cyberpunk style games you see all this advanced tech or just objects lying around everywhere and hardly ever get to use them or interact with them in any way. The Deus Ex reboots are kinda guilty of this.

This game is not Call of Duty. It's a massive open world RPG.
It won't be non-stop action every thirty seconds.
It might be too deep and complex for you, if you need that kind of twitchy stimulation.

Hardly new - this type of retrace gameplay has been in many games over the years - from indie games like Tacoma to budget titles like Observer all the way to the likes of Batman.Originally posted by Superman:As for Braindance, it looks fun new kind of gameplay, you can re-live your robberies?Originally posted by koko:I feel this game is too overhyped. I hope it's a optional side quest type thing in this game because from what I saw of the presentation, it looked a bit flat and uninspired.
