What he means is that looking at the cool character you created is more fun. The market is flooded with heaps upon heaps of first person games. We don't need more. And say what you will but third pers..

a lot of cut scenes suggest that the look of ur player character is already set... so u cant create a uniqe face, i would even say the body sliders are limited... add or remove a few muscles and thats..
